Dear friends,

We are excited to invite you to a 3-day meditation retreat near the Sandia mountains of New Mexico, the land of Enchantment. This retreat will focus on silent meditation, trauma healing, and developing your subtle attunement capacities, offering a transformative experience in the American Southwest.

During this retreat, you will be guided through practices that cultivate deeper awareness, presence, and compassion toward yourself and others. Together, you will explore techniques for healing from past traumas, as well as mindfulness practices that can help you uncover deeper resources for your daily life.

You will have opportunities to walk in the mountains and explore your inner landscape in nature. All meals will be provided, ensuring that you are nourished and energized throughout your stay.

The cost of the retreat, including food is $950. Lodging is available on-site at $95 per night on first come first serve basis. This is a rare opportunity to disconnect from the stress of daily life and connect with yourself in a supportive community of fellow retreat-goers. Meet Your Team

David Young & Heather Thalheimer

David Young, M.A., CMMT is a certified meditation teacher, coach, and group facilitator. David supports communities to heal from collective trauma, re-establish healthy communication, and love fearlessly.

 

David is the co-creator and co-facilitator of Attuned: Becoming Trauma Informed & Trauma Responsive In Professional Settings and Radical Wholeness: A 10-Week Online Journey. He is a student of collective trauma healing with Thomas Hübl and loves traveling, hanging out in tea shops, and camping with his kids. 

Heather Thalheimer is a content creator and author of WholeHearted Podcast's Four Minute Fridays and Being WholeHearted: Finding new ways of Thinking and Living. Professionally, Heather has extensive leadership experience in the nonprofit world and offers executive coaching and attuned leadership training for teams and individuals. 

 

Heather is the co-creator and co-facilitator of Attuned: Becoming Trauma Informed & Trauma Responsive In Professional Settings and Radical Wholeness: A 10-Week Online Journey. She is a student of trauma-informed care and collective trauma healing. She is a certified Thomas Hubl Transparent Communication Practice Group leader. As a coach, Heather recognizes the power of friendship and community in building a wholehearted life.

Day 1: FRIDAY

Morning:

  • 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM: Introduction to Silent Meditation Practice & Trauma Healing

  • 9:45 AM - 10:00 AM: Opening Meditation Session

  • 10:00AM - 10:45AM: Q&A & Guidance around Noble Silence 

  • 10:45AM - 11:00AM: Break

  • 11:00 AM - 11:40AM:  Guided Sitting Meditation - Building Your Capacity for Interoception

  • 11:40AM - 12:00PM: Q&A

  • 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch

Afternoon:

  • 1:30 PM - 2:10 PM: Sitting Meditation Session

  • 2:10 PM - 2:25 PM: Drive to Sandia Mountain Trail 

  • 2:25 PM - 3:40 PM: Time in Nature 

  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Session - Understanding The Intelligence of Trauma & Healing

  • 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM:  Dinner 

Evening:

  • 7:45 PM - 8:45 PM: Evening Meditation

  • 9:00 PM: Noble Silence Begins

Day 2: SATURDAY

Morning:

  • 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM: Breakfast (in silence)

  • 8:45 AM - 9:25: Sitting Meditation

  • 9:25 AM - 9:45 AM: Walking Meditation

  • 9:45 AM - 10:25 AM: Sitting Meditation

  • 10:25 AM - 11:00 PM: Break

  • 11:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Silent Contemplation in Nature

  • 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch (in silence)

Afternoon:

  • 2:00 PM - 2:40 PM: Sitting Meditation Session

  • 2:40 PM - 3:20 PM: Walking Meditation 

  • 3:20 PM - 6:15 PM: Session - What Is Relational Health? + Practice/Q&A

  • 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM: Dinner (in silence)

Evening:

  • 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Evening Meditation

  • 8:45 PM: Noble Silence Continues

Day 3: SUNDAY

Morning:

  • 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM: Completing Noble Silence

  • 8:15 AM - 9:20 AM: Breakfast 

  • 9:20 AM - 11:00 AM: Journaling & Room Sharing

  • 11:00 AM - 11:20 AM: Closing Meditation & Integration

  • 11:20 AM - 11:40 AM: Closing Ceremony
